Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out platform-wide conduct rules for Tor.Live, separate from the Site Rules that govern what can be listed in the directory. It applies to everything you do on the Service.
Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Abuse accounts or authentication: create multiple accounts to evade rate limits, bans, or site caps; share or sell accounts; attempt to guess or brute-force another user's password or recovery phrase.
- Manipulate reputation systems: use fake accounts, coordinated voting, or paid/incentivized reviews to inflate or deflate karma, ratings, or a site's reputation score.
- Harass or abuse other users: post threats, hate speech, or content intended to harass, dox, or intimidate another person, whether in a review, comment, or profile field.
- Automate abusively: scrape the Service outside of the documented crawler API, send automated requests that circumvent rate limits, or use bots to create accounts, sites, or reviews.
- Attack the Service: probe for or exploit security vulnerabilities without authorization, attempt denial-of-service, or attempt to bypass moderation, authentication, or rate-limiting controls.
- Impersonate: misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or falsely claim ownership of a site you don't control.
Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in content removal, site status changes, rate-limit penalties, or account suspension, at an administrator's discretion and proportional to the severity of the violation.
Reporting a violation
If you encounter conduct that violates this policy, Please report the offending item or open a new ticket.
